Kernstown Battlefield to be Open Monday, March 23rd

The Kernstown Battlefield Association is pleased to announce a special opening of the battlefield on Monday, March 23, 2026, 10am - 4pm, as we commemorate the 164th anniversary of the First Battle of Kernstown. Guided golf cart tours of the battlefield and tours of the Pritchard House will be offered, and our Visitor Center, Artillery Building and Conference Center will be open. We hope you can join us for a visit! Our regular open season begins April 3rd.

Speaking of the First Battle of Kernstown, we are still accepting registrations for our all-day First Battle of Kernstown walking and driving tour. The tour, being held on Saturday, March 21st, will be led by Gary Ecelbarger, author of “We Are In For It!
