Kernstown Battlefield Awarded Grant to Develop Audio Tours

The Kernstown Battlefield Association (KBA) is proud to announce that we’ve been selected as a 2026 Americana Corner Preserving America Grant recipient! The program was established to assist non-profit organizations like ours to tell the incredible story of America from its founding era through its first century as a nation. Grant funds will support the development during 2026 of audio tours for the historical interpretive trails located at the Kernstown Battlefield, greatly enhancing our visitors’ experience. The Kernstown Battlefield features three color-coded interpretive trails on its main campus as well as interpretive markers on the Sandy Ridge property. The KBA’s History and Education Committee has begun working to develop the educational content that will be presented in our audio tours.
