Kernstown Battlefield Will Soon Be Open Daily!

The Kernstown Battlefield Association is extremely happy to announce that effective on our opening day of April 3, 2026, Kernstown Battlefield will be open 7 days a week, with the exception of Christmas and inclement weather days, from 10 am to 4 pm. However, the tour schedule will not change. Guided golf cart tours of the battlefield and tours of the Pritchard House will still only be offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Visitors are welcome to enter the battlefield property on the other days of the week and walk the property and read the numerous historical markers. Touring maps will be provided near the kiosk next to the upper parking lot. Our goal is to have a volunteer/docent on the property every day so that we can open the visitor center and artillery museum, but on days when a docent is not available those buildings will be closed.
